  24. OSF/1 on Alpha AXP systems will use 64 bit integers for off_t, allowing
  25. very large files and file systems.  Using LVM on OSF/1 you can take parts
  26. of disks and build large file systems.  This isn't really striping because
  27. the chunks are too large, but it will get you virtual devices of the
  28. required capacity.

  30. If you do end up needing Striping, please let me know.  I'm the person
  31. currently maintaining ULTRIX Striping and will likely have to do it for
  32. OSF if there is need.
