- OSF/1 on Alpha AXP systems will use 64 bit integers for off_t, allowing
- very large files and file systems. Using LVM on OSF/1 you can take parts
- of disks and build large file systems. This isn't really striping because
- the chunks are too large, but it will get you virtual devices of the
- required capacity.

- If you do end up needing Striping, please let me know. I'm the person
- currently maintaining ULTRIX Striping and will likely have to do it for
- OSF if there is need.
