- Hi, and thanks for helping... here's my problem.
-
- I have a Decstation 5000/125 w/ a PXG card and a 19" Triny monitor.
- (This was a package deal a.k.a. PM323-KN.) Boy is it ever fun! Then
- I bought the PMAG-GB "8 to 24 plane upgrade", because I wanted 24-bit
- color.
-
- I installed the upgrade and funny colors began to tinge the right edges
- of letters. Most dramatic is the "]" character while in
- the hardware monitor. Its vertical stroke is bright yellow.
- This mottled yellowness is also present in single-user-mode
- but, thankfully, disappears once X is up and running. For example, there
- is no problem in the DECterm window I am typing at now.
-
- I run Ultrix 4.2A Rev 47, UWS Rev 420. The upgrade was a bunch of SIP's,
- VRAM I imagine, and two so-called VDACS. (They were big! They must have
- more than just a DAC inside.)
-
- Thanks. Respond by email to burt@passaic.miami.edu.
