- #I recently inherited a MicroVAX 2000... any documentation is long gone.
- #This beastie has a thinwire port; however, it does not appear to be
- #enabled. VMS boots ok; the only devices are the disk and the terminal
- #ports.
- #
- #Can anyone give me any hints on what it takes to enable the Ethernet
- #port? Which test F...E...D, etc, indicates the Ethernet, or how
- #to read the TEST 50 output?
-
- The MicroVAX 2000 has a thinwire ethernet port which is enabled and
- cannot be disabled. It test as TEST 1. If your boot shows:
- F...E...D... 1... then your ethernet is ok. If 1 shows as ? or _
- then you've got an error. Type >>> TEST 1 and see what you get.
- The errors generaly mean (0000.7001 or some such) that you didn't
- hook it up to an active dempr port or thinwire network correectly.
