  12. I just bought a Vaxstation 2000 for which the system password was apparently
  13. forgotten or corrupted, since the one I was told doesn't work.  That would be a
  14. reason to sell it.  It was running vms 4.7 and has an RD54 and no input device
  15. other than ethernet.  Is there a way to get around this using the rom monitor
  16. and halt switch?  I guess it would work to put the disk on another machine and
  17. delete the password file, or something like that, but it is a lot of trouble.
  18. I'm told it doesn't cost anything to transfer the vms license, but that
  19. wouldn't solve anything by itself.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.
