  13. I would be very grateful if someone could take on this task for me. Had I
  14. a 1581, which I will buy soon, with big blue reader to do a particular
  15. conversion (my university uses PC's connected to the network), I would not
  16. have a problem.

  18. But as it stands, I've just grabbed some files  - geostechref1.arc, 
  19. geostechref2.arc and geostechref3.arc from the ftp site  ccosun.caltech.edu
  20. under the directory /pub/rknop/geos/programmer. Since these
  21. files are encoded in PETSCII format, I am unable to read them at my UNIX
  22. terminal. Guess what I'm going to ask?

  24. Could some kind soul convert these files to ASCII format, so I can read them
  25. from my UNIX terminal as well as print them? I could e-mail you the relevant 
  26. files to avoid the use of ftp to get them.
