- I've seen that a few problems by people trying to decompress those .ark files
- that have been reported to be at Wuarchive FTP site. (I don't know personally
- as I haven't been over to check it...)
-
- Anyway, the .ark suffix is characteristic of the ArKive 2.0 program. It is an
- archiver such as Arc or Lynx. I haven't seen that Arkive program around for
- years (apologizes to anyone who uses it), I'll see if anyone on my BBS knows
- anything about it...
-
- I however, DO know that Omega-Q 2.0 will undo .ark files IF they are correctly
- downloaded as BINARY and are not corrupted in anyway. If they are corrupted,
- Omega-Q reports back with an Unrecognized Format.
-
- I hope this helps anyone out there...
-
- Also, I wanted to apologize to everyone about the Commodor Classifieds for not
- going out to finish this year, but I was informed by Admin here that the VAX
- drives will be purged and backup tapes will be used from tomorrow to be
- re-installed sometime in January, so if I posted it now, I would lose ALL of
- the mail sent to me... So rather than do that I'll just wait for now. Again, I
- apologize, but I can't without seriously losing the functionality of the whole
- thing... I WILL send it out the DAY I get back here to Drake though on Jan
- 16th.
