- It doesn't have any extra hardware in it other than the hi-speed UART
- chips (similar to the WD16550N that IBMs and Amigas use for hi-speed
- modems). The 6510 processor can inherently handle speeds of 38400 baud
- and more. It's just that the user port on the 64 is structured such that
- with the amounts of error checking it does on itself and its 8K buffer
- memory, it cannot handle anything above 2400 reliably.
