- Before I reply to the first question, let's clarify something else: Your
- DAT tape deck will output digital information which the Falcon will be able to
- receive and directly digitally manipulate, then send back to the DAT, this
- through the DSP port or something. You will not need to sample anything.
- (that would be bad, because you would add a D->A phase to get the music/sound
- to the Falcon, the falcon would need to to a A->D conversion to work on the
- data, and then you would have to to another D->A and A->D conversion to get
- it back to the DAT. Sound-quality-wise one avoins A/D D/A conversions as much
- as possible)

- But, if you were to sample at 48Khz or at 44.1Khz, or other specific sampling
- rates apart from those that the Falcon allows, you'll need to provide the
- synch signal externaly, i'm told. One should see 3rd party small hacks to do
- this without delay, at minor cost. I hope this clarifies and is accurate.
