- Amalaye Oyake asks:
- >1) WILL MR. BAGGET STILL MARKET GAME WORK BENCH OR HAS HE GIVEN UP ?
-
- Dunno.. have to ask Dave.
-
- >2) IF YOU REPLY, PLEASE STATE IN YOUR HONEST OPINION IF YOU THINK ( note i a
- >talking to anybody reading this ) THE FALCON WILL SUCCEED.
-
- "Succeed...?" Not likely, given current Atari viewpioints on marketing and
- developer involvement.
-
- >4) WHAT DOES ALL THAT HAS HAPPENED, (CONCERNING MR. BAGGETS VISIT TO SV CA.)
- >MEAN TO THE AVERAGE ST USER ?
-
-
- It means that this is just one more (talk to some Atari developers for some
- real "Horror Stories" about dealing with Atari Corporation.) example of
- the arrogance of the current regime at Atari. It means that YOU will
- NEVER be able to buy a game developed with the Game Workshop.
-
- >6) HOW WERE MR. BAGGETS GAME ROUTINES SUPERIOR TO ANYTHING DONE BY PEOPLE
- >LIKE THE BITMAP BROTHERS ( ST DIEHARDS ), OR EVEN JEFF MINTER ?
-
- They might not have actually been "superior".. but YOU will never know
- whether they were or not, because Atari played games, rather than seriously
- evaluating them. Jeff Minter has already ported "Llamatron" to the PC
- platform, where it's been received with tremendous acclaim. Why would he
- continue to hit himself over the head with the "Atari" hammer..?
-
- >7) SO WHAT MACHINES WOULD ONE RECOMEND BESIDES A FALCON ?
-
- As always, it depends on what you want to do with your computer. If you're
- happy with developing your own applications and programs, then maybe the
- Falcon's for you. If you like VGA resolution games in 256 colors, at
- Shareware prices, then that software is ALREADY available on the PC
- platform...
-
- >ALL THE ABOVE ARE JUST QUESTIONS, SO I WOULD PREFER IT IF YOU DO NOT JUMP
- >ON MY CASE. .
-
- amalaye oyake ---> a curious st user.
-
- No problem.. it's refreshing to encounter an open mind..
