- I don't know if the figures Spectrum Holobyte gave were just for the
- US or worldwide.. remember that this was just the figure for the
- first three months. I imagine total sales will continue with the
- same ratio however..

- The thing to remember is that even if they DID have 100% greater sales
- in Europe, that would STILL only amount to 1400 units sold,
- versus 10,000 for IBM. That 10 to 1 ratio should send a pretty strong
- message to any company that has to allocate resources where they will
- acheive the best return..

- Didn't Atari say exactly the same thing about why they almost totally
- ignored the US market to concentrate on European sales..?

- Also, the relative quality of the product still doesn't have any impact
- on the ratio of sales. The PC product still sold 10 times as many
- units, no matter how good the product was.

- None of this reflects on the quality of Atari computers.. it only reflects
- actual, real-world experience in the computer marketplace.
