- Apparently CBMs answer to the Falcon, the A1200 is now available in the
- UK. The most likely release date for the Falcon would seem to be February.
- Its not all bad news though, looking through comp.sys.amiga.hardware reveals
- that the A1200s are being shipped without half the manuals, without the
- promised adaptor to use VGA monitors, without any hardware clock (apparently
- all the official documentation claiming that there is one on the A1200 is
- is wrong.), the sound output level is so high that it distorts unless you put
- a resisitor across it and there are serious problems with the TV modulator.
- As one Amiga person put it:
-
- "Commodore has released a new machine one month before Christmas to try to
- sell as many as possible, but they were really NOT READY to launch it."
