- 20Mb flopticals are now 299 pounds and can read/write normal disks. Versions
- that can do non-MSDOS formats (eg. 10 sectors, first sector readable) are
- expected soon following pressure from suppliers in the Atari and Acorn world.
- Prices are expected to fall rapidly, especially once 40Mb versions are
- released to the extent that they would be cheaper than a HD drive with a
- custom SCSI interface.
- Like you say, you do need a SCSI device driver to be able to use them,
- but that is hardly a problem.
