  27. "Programs of the Week". We have 39. The program names and a brief
  28. description have been clipped from the DOC files and appended below.

  35.  
  36. DC Bit Set correctly handles the setting of the file ARCHIVE bit for
  37. both file creations and modifications under TOS 1.0 (original) and 1.2
  38. (Mega) ONLY.

  41. DC Boot It v1.0
  42.  
  43. DC Boot It allows you to run a 'BOOT DISK' from the desktop.  Simply run
  44. DC Boot It, pop in a 'BOOT DISK' (like a game disk) and BOOT IT!
  45. This has the real advantage for accelerated computers, since you can set
  46. the machine speed before booting.  You can also go to 50 Hz mode before
  47. booting the floppy disk.

  70. DC Disk Info is used to give you a quick 'snapshot' of any disk.  You
  71. will get visual representation of the file allocation on your disk, plus
  72. certain statistics about the disk.

  75. DC FLIGHT v1.0      (aka DC F-Light)    (aka DC Floppy Light)

  77. DC FLIGHT installs a routine into the read/write vector (RWABS) of
  78. storage devices- floppy disks, hard drives, ramdisks, etc.  Each time
  79. such a device (all with the exception of the floppy) is accessed, the
  80. floppy drive A light will come on until the operation is finished.

  85. DC Floppy Configurator easily allows you to logically add or remove the
  86. floppy disk drives from your system, as well as set the step rate for
  87. the drive.

  94. defined time of modem inactivity.  So, if you leave your computer to do

  97. with no data transfer.

  102. DC Invert will flash the screen whenever a BELL character (ASCII 7) is
  103. printed.  This way, if you have the stereo up, are listening to
  104. headphones, or just plain have the sound turned off, you can tell when

  110. DC Lefty Arrow is a supplement to our DC Lefty program.  DC Lefty Arrow
  111. will turn your normal mouse arrow (which points left) to an arrow which

  117. Are you getting tired of booting up without a floppy disk and having the
  118. drive light stay on and the motor spin away? Here's the solution to all
  119. your worries: DC Light OFF deselects the floppy drive. This program is
  120. also useful for those times when the floppy drive is left "dirty" after
  121. running an application.

  146. program, namely DC Homey. DC Mouse Saver will turn the mouse off after a
  147. defined time of no mouse activity, and turn the mouse back on with any

  153. DC MOUSE SHIFT emulates any of the modifier keys (SHIFTs, CONTROL and/or
  154. ALTERNATE) by pressing the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON.

  159. DC Mouse Stick allows you to use a joystick to emulate a mouse on the
  160. ST, STe or TT computer.  You can plug the joystick into port 0 (normal
  161. mouse port) or port 1 (joystick port).

  166. DC No Alert will keep an alert box from being displayed and will 'fake'
  167. the return of the DEFAULT button.  So, in an alert that says, "Really

  169. and that's it.  The YES button will be returned as the button selected.

  172. DC No-Stic (No Stiction) v1.0

  174. DC No-Stic is designed to prevent hard disk stiction.  Stiction is when
  175. your hard disk head sticks in one place.  (big trouble) Seagate drives
  176. suffered from this phenomenon.  DC No-Stic will move the hard disk heads
  177. around after 5 minutes of hard disk inactivity.

  212. Ever have a file that you can't copy because of a bad sector in the
  213. middle of the file?  What to do, what to do? DC Salvage will read a file

  220. DC Topper will automatically select the window under the mouse (bring it

  250. How would you pass a parameter to a GEM program?  If you have the
  251. NewDesk in the MegaSTE or TT, then you can use the new program extension
  252. type: GTP (GEM takes parameters).  If you use the old normal GEM
  253. desktop, your only option is to install a document type for that
  254. application.  This works well for one document type, but what happens
  255. when you have multiple document types for that application.  Well then,
  256. you are out of luck...  Until now!

  260.  
  261. DC Backspace Help will print a <BACKSPACE> character instead of <HELP>
  262. when you press the <HELP key.  Or, press <CONTROL>+<HELP> to get a
  263. regular <HELP> key press.

  267.  
  268. DC Homey will position the mouse cursor in the middle of the screen when
  269. you press the <ALTERNATE>+<CONTROL>+<LEFT SHIFT>+<H> keys. Now, you can

  275. DC Joystick Character allows you to assign a character to a direction of
  276. a joystick.  When you press the joystick trigger, it simulates entering
  277. the character throught the keyboard.

  281. DC LEFTY is for the left-handed Atari users. DC LEFTY swaps the LEFT and
  282. RIGHT mouse buttons.  So now when you press on the right mouse button,
  283. it thinks it is a left mouse button, and vice-versa.  Someone with a
  284. broken mouse with no working left button might use DC LEFTY.

  287. DC MWRAP (Mouse Wrapper) v1.0

  289. DC Mouse Wrapper will 'wrap' the mouse pointer from one screen edge to
  290. the other.  So now, go off the left edge of the screen, and the mouse
  291. shows up on the right side!

  294. DC Reserve v1.2

  296. DC Reserve will reserve a predefined amount of memory when you execute a
  297. program.  For instance, if you run FLASH! it normally uses all available
  298. memory for a capture buffer.  With DC Reserve installed and set to
  299. reserve 100K, when you execute FLASH! you will have 100K free RAM in the
  300. program for use for other things (like Data Diet and DC Shower).

  305. DC Right DC lets you click once with the right mouse button, and have
  306. that act as a left mouse button double click.

  312. choice.
