  15. 1.  You didn't say how much TOAD was going to charge you for replacing the
  16. bum drive mechanism.  $100 plus freight sounds OK.  Much more than that and
  17. I'd recommend you consider using your old 520 for a door stop and picking up
  18. a new or slightly used 1040STe for not much more money.

  20. 2.  Atari service people (is there such a thing?) come in all flavors...
  21. some good and some bad.  It's pot luck unless you can get a recommendation
  22. from someone who has personal experience in dealing with one.

  24. 3.  I think most people on this net will echo that TOAD is a very reliable,
  25. upstanding organization who have been around for quite awhile.  They have
  26. suffered through some growing pains but they are honest, capable and will
  27. treat you fairly.  But only if you tell 'em FAIR-DINKUM sent ya.  :)
