- QWK is a format used by FIDOnet systems that allows you to pack up their
- messages into a single file, download it to your local system, generate
- replies while off-line, and upload those replies. This can be *really*
- handy for those who still frequent FIDOnet systems and spend hours of
- time reading/replying-to messages there. And it can take a couple of
- hours to do that since the mac and apple2 echos (as they are called)
- typically have over 100 messages each day.
