  11. For those of you wondering what the difference between HardPressed and
  12. AutoArk is...

  14. I recently booted a copy of System 6.0 with HardPressed installed.  Big
  15. deal.  Well, the trick is that it was on a write-protected 800K floppy, and
  16. even after installing all of the HardPressed files, it had more space on it
  17. than it did before compressing stuff.

  19. The best part is, it only took a few seconds longer to boot.

  21. In case you want to nit-pick, it was a single 800K floppy all by its
  22. lonesome; no other volumes were involved in the process.  I stuck it into the
  23. disk drive and booted all the way into the Finder.  And yes, it really
  24. was write protected.  I have witnesses. :-)

  27. I don't want to give out any specific numbers, because it's still in the
  28. "almost done" stage, and they will likely change.  I don't really want to
  29. give out a release date either, for a variety of good reasons.  "Soon."
