  18. Apple's diagnostic sfw doesn't check most of the chips in the machine.
  19. It checks the memory, CPU, sound GLU and a few others.  If you want
  20. something like an IWM replacement, the Tech. has to know enough about
  21. the GS to guess that might be the problem and swap in a good one.
