- Let me amend my statement a little...while it's not *generally* reentrant,
- Macintosh System 7 (or 6+MultiFinder) is reentrant in carefully controlled
- ways.

- Activity actually does -not- stop behind a modal dialog. True, the user
- is not allowed to bring a different application to the front before
- dismissing the dialog, but the other apps continue to get background
- time.
