- While working on the Service HelpDesk yesterday I was contacted by a client
- with the following problem:
-
- This person has an Apple IIgs and an ImageWriter II. She has recently
- purchased a Macintosh and a LaserWriter LS. She would like to print to
- the LaserWriter from the Apple IIgs. The LW LS is not a networkable
- printer(no AppleTalk port), therefore it requires a serial connnection to
- the computer. I am assuming that she can use a standard Apple serial cable
- to connect the Apple IIgs and the LaserWriter LS. The only problem I see
- is getting the required software the Apple IIgs so that it can print to a
- LaserWriter. In the Mac environment you must have the print drivers
- installed in the "System Folder" , does the Apple IIgs require special
- printer drivers? If so, where could we obtain a copy? If not, what does
- one have to do to print on the LaserWriter?
-
- Thanks in advance for any information or assistance you might be able to
- provide!
