- I'd thought i'd post here to clear a few things up. First off, seeing as I
- had no idea this group existed, i'm surprised to find out that people are still
- actually USING apple ]['s for anything else but eprom burners. Imagine my
- surprise when, two days ago, my mailbox was flooded by two (2) simultaneous
- whiny bitches. One of the authors was kind enough to include Ian's little
- "ST0P IBM PIRATE LAMERZ KILLER WAREZ BBS B0ARD" post (but nothing but
- deafening silence from the BIFF clone himself).
-
- Secondly, the incoming directory, as was pointed out, was deleted a LONG time
- ago. I had no idea anybody gave a rats ass about software that is DECADES old.
- (Repeat after me kiddies: YOU MUST CHILL).
-
- The rom file fell through the sieve when I initially audited the incoming dir,
- and is now gone. The ideal solution, of course, would be to replace it with
- instructions to dump the (super-duper whizbang high-tech proprietary) ROMS
- by hand, but I haven't gotten around to it.
-
- The archive was initially started a few years back since there was NO
- documentation on transferring images and Randy Spurlock had disappeared from
- view for a few years. I'd thought it would be a hell of a novelty to start up
- the site (seeing the apple basic prompt certainly brought back memories) and
- there was enough of a demand for supplemental stuff to actually put something
- of use there. Odds are, of course, that i'll nuke the frigging archive myself
- soon, seeing as i'm finally escaping from this god-forsaken hellhole in a
- few weeks. If anybody actually here still wants the stuff (there IS a new
- version that Randy just cranked out) ask Todd to copy it over before it goes.
-
- Finally, i'd like to ask Apple to blow me (they haven't made anything useful
- since the apple ]['s) and to say hi to Derwoods's (uh, Darren's) Other Half
- and House Security Risk (you know who you are ;-).
-
- Oh, and stop bugging Heather (root@cco). She's asked all respondents to send
- their flames here (I promise i'll listen). She's got enough to worry about
- without a gaggle of self-important newbie net-police taking the high moral
- ground at her.
-
- Peace,
- Nye
