- I just came upon an Apple IIgs 512k and wanted to upgrade it a bit (less
- than $150-200) to take advantage of whatever I can out of it (since it
- was free!).
-
- I picked up one of the mags still around for the Apple II and some mail
- order places mention version 3.0 ROMS, and I've poked around on ftp.apple.com
- and have seen gs-os 6.0. Is this upgrade worth it and should I go to the
- new operating system?
-
- Also, I only have 512k of ram and I've been led on to believe that the last
- gs-specific programs required more ram than that. What can I afford along
- with this ROM upgrade?
-
- Thanks for any help anybody can offer me.
