- Joe Kohn, first let me thank you for what you have done for the Apple II
- community. Your articles are excellent, and is the only reason for me to
- read A+/Incider nowadays.
-
- >As you well know, I'm a freelancer, and my words are available to any
- >publication that wants to pay me for them. I plan to continue to write for
- >inCider/A+ and for Softdisk G-S. So far, plans for writing for II Alive are
- >up in the air. When I spoke to Joe Gleason the other day, he did say that
- >he'd like for me to have 2 articles in each issue. But, no actual
- >assignments were given me. And, the reality is, I'm up to my ears as it is
- >with articles. I have 4 more due in the next 2.5 weeks.
-
- Will your articles in II Alive be the same as the one in A+/Incider? Can I
- expect something different?
-
- What exactly will the II Alive like? Something like A+/Incider with many
- pages of colour graphics and advertisement? Or GS+ with good articles but
- in black and white? Or A2-Central which is actually just a newsletter?
-
- I am hoping for something like the good-old A+. Good graphics design, good
- articles, and they actually know the technical detail. I dislike the current
- A+/Incider, but it is still the only magazine for the II you can buy from
- shell. GS+ is very good, but there is basically no artworks at all in the
- magazine.
-
- How many pages can we see in II Alive? How much will it cost me? Will it
- be monthly? Will it have colour? Will it focus on IIGS? Will it focus on
- school user (AppleWorks!), programmers, hobbiest, or all of us?
-
- >As much as I'm obsessed with the Apple II, I still only have 24 hours in
- >each day. So, we'll see. I am also very seriously considering publishing and
- >editing and writing my own Apple II publication. Decisions, decisions,
- >decisions...
-
- Why don't you join II Alive and be an editor? I think a strong Apple II
- magazine is much better than a few newsletter.
-
- >Joe Kohn
-
- Thanks. And hope to hear from you!
