- Hmmmm... my last message didn't seem to go out properly...
-
- We are running Domain/OS sr10.2 and NFS v2.3. I ran into a problem
- which I believe is caused by the version of NFS we are running.
- Attempts to rlogin to an Apollo (DN2500) from a Sun Sparc IPC failed
- with a protocol error. I had also noticed an error condition which
- showed up on the Apollo a little while before the failed rlogins. The
- message on the console was: "No more processes: No entries in level 2
- process table (OS/level 2 process manager)". When the rlogins were
- failing, all tasks on the Apollo seemed to be frozen.
-
- I believe that NFS v2.3 was forking processes until the process
- tables became full, necessitating a reboot to clear the condition.
- Have any of you encountered a similar situation?
-
- I called Hewlett Packard and was informed that the latest version
- of NFS available for Domain/OS is version 3.2. Anybody upgraded
- because of problems with v2.3?
