- Hi all -
-
- I've got a rather frustrating problem with a small handful of my
- Apollo DN3500's running Domain 10.3+. Seems that any file open
- calls to the /etc/passwd file return 'name not found' errors even
- though the file exists and has read permissions to the world.
- Comparing a node that works with one that doesn't reveals no
- differences in permissions or files in the /etc and /sys/mgrs
- directories. What should I be looking for?
-
- P.S. My co-worker just told me that after telnet to the offending
- machine, /etc/passwd can be found and read! After that there
- seems to be no problem.
-
- Any wisdom from the net would be greatly appreciated.
-
- Steve
