- I am stripping down a DN4000 that I traded in to Sun. I moved
- 16MB of memory to a needy DN5500, and now I'm trying to move
- the QIC tape. The DN4000 has a special adapter cable in line
- with the normal power supply cable which appears to change the
- pin order. I've tried leaving it in and taking it out on the
- 5500, but the 5500 still claims "no tape controller in the system".
- (Yes, I did run CONFIG.)
-
- For reference, a DN4500 with a tape drive that I also have doesn't
- use the adapter cable.
-
- What is even more strange is that the drive whirrs when I insert a
- tape, so it is in fact getting power.
-
- Any ideas?
