- The tones that MY modems have been emitting are NOT answer tones.
- Believe me I wish they would send the same answer tones my other 3 modems
- send. But my 3 SupraFAXes eventually stopped sending the correct answer tones.

- Oh wow that is a great idea. I never thought that turning the
- speaker off would be useful, seeing as how many of the speakers don't work
- anyway. It makes it fun to call or receive dial tones, not knowing if
- you got a busy signal, ring, no dialtone, etc.

- My LED display problem cannot be fixed by a rom upgrade. Unless
- the rom sends out dead pixels and changes the intensity in a nice gradient
- across the display.

-
- I have 3 sets of the new roms for all three of my SupraFAX modems.
- Thankyou for the suggestion about AT&F; however I am not a novice, and no
- sequence of AT&F will get my modem to work. I have spent hours every day
- for the past four weeks and nothing has revived it or my BBS...except
- plugging in a different brand of modem.
-
- I even recorded the ENTIRE register set using AT&V, duplicated
- the problems, and then compared it to memory. No changes in the registers
- in memory. Hmmm...maybe the modem is screwed up.

- I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SUPRA MODEMS - IN MY OPINION THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE
