  14. I'm using this thread for a somewhat different form of the question.
  15. What is the most up to date operating system that is compatible with an
  16. ancient, but lovable 1000?  I do have extra ram, but otherwise a stock
  17. machine on which I now run 1.2.  Since I have a few unix-like
  18. enhancements and a ram cacheing system for repeated invocations of
  19. commands and programs, it is pretty comfortable, but there may be some
  20. advantages to upgrading (if the older kits are still available.)

  23. this group occasionally.
