- I have several callers to my BBS who own Supra modems (at least one of
- them was at my recommendation); they never have had problems
- connecting.

- The modem is supposed to emit answering tones when you enter ATA...
- unless you have previously entered ATM0 (mine runs silent because I
- don't want modem chatter to wake me up at 4 in the morning :-) ).

- I've never had problems with unexpected carrier drops, or with the TX
- and RX lights turning on for no reason. No speaker problems, either,
- and the display problem (related to an MNP bug) was fixed by a ROM

- Sounds like you need to make sure you have current (1.2H or later)
- ROMs in your modem. If you already have them, make sure you've
- entered the appropriate AT&F command to set up the modem for your
- machine. After that, all I can suggest is RTFM.
