- I like my Supra modem a lot too...but I have gone through 3
- of them and each one has the same problems. They cannot connect to
- each other. they cannot answer the phone (important for a guy like me
- who runs a BBS). I have told Supra again and again what the problems
- are. The next one I get will be hooked up in 5 seconds, and I will
- load my terminal program and type ATA. If I hear it making squeal
- noises and send improper answer tones, then it is going right back in
- the box and back to Supra. If the LED starts flickering like crazy, it
- is going back in the box. If it suddenly drops carrier on me, it is going
- in the box. If it suddenly for no reason turns on the send and receive
- lights even when it isn't being used, or if a verticle bar slides across
- the screen, or if it makes one more hiss noise, or if another speaker
- blows, I am sending it back.
-
- And if I get one more pre-tested modem, brand new, that has a
- broken LED as soon as it is turned on for the first time, I will send
- it back. BEWARE OF THE SUPRAFAX MODEMS.
