- My poor Amiga has been more-or-less ignored (games & check writing only) for
- a couple of years now. (I know, shame on me. But I've got a SPARCstation
- on loan, and have been spending too many hours at work anyway.) Anyhow, I
- just upgraded to 2.1, and added an Archive Viper 150M cartridge tape (in the
- hope that adequate backup capability would improve my chances of using the
- machine.) This required replacing my old Series I GVP Impact SCSI+RAM card
- with a new GVP HC8+. Backups are now proceeding smoothly, but I'm left
- wondering what I need to do to be able to use the tape to transfer data between
- the SS1 and the Amiga? (Which also makes it easier to pick things off the net,
- since I have ftp access at work.) I've got `tar' from Fish Disk 445, but the
- tape: handler on that disk requires the ARP mount command, which makes me
- wonder if there isn't another solution...

- P.S. E-mail replies are best - I tend to be -way- behind on news reading.
