- I got my 4000 in the mail on Wednesday (Yeah!), but have noticed a few
- quirks you folks could help me out with.
-
- Whenever I reboot using the C-A-A method, it appears that the hard drive
- gets a jolt - it stops spinning for a sec (like it loses power), then it
- does a re-spin, almost like a cold start.
- Now, this drive seems fine to be.. no errors or anything.. but I'm worried
- that all this spin-up/spin-down will kill it over time. It also increases
- boot time dramatically.
-
- The other problem is that my 1960 isn't really converged in the lower-left
- quadrant, and is real blurry with white text (VLT). Is this fixable under
- CommodoreExpress? (My paperwork is in the mail)
-
- Lastly, is there a new driver out for A-Max II+? It seems to insist
- that I have a SCSI drive, and crashes bluely when attempted. Do I HAVE to
- get a 2091 & SCSI drive (will it work??)? Also, is there any alternative
- to rebooting everytime under the ECS compatibility mode?
-
- Thanks,
- -Dan
