  16. If you "couldn't go back to ECS afterwords", wouldn't the whole idea be
  17. pretty silly?  About 99% of the software out there NEEDS the ECS chips to
  18. function.  The ones that support AGA are great but they are the vast
  19. minority and probably will be for some time to come.  If such a board were
  20. developed, couldn't it work in a way that is similar to the 030 boards that
  21. plug into the 68000 socket of an A500/2000, yet still provide a socket for
  22. the 68000 and use that chip as a fall back option?  I don't know anything
  23. about computer hardware design but I do know a few things about business.
  24. In order to sell such a board with any degree of success at all, ECS fall
  25. back is a MUST have item... IMHO, of course.
