- If you "couldn't go back to ECS afterwords", wouldn't the whole idea be
- pretty silly? About 99% of the software out there NEEDS the ECS chips to
- function. The ones that support AGA are great but they are the vast
- minority and probably will be for some time to come. If such a board were
- developed, couldn't it work in a way that is similar to the 030 boards that
- plug into the 68000 socket of an A500/2000, yet still provide a socket for
- the 68000 and use that chip as a fall back option? I don't know anything
- about computer hardware design but I do know a few things about business.
- In order to sell such a board with any degree of success at all, ECS fall
- back is a MUST have item... IMHO, of course.
