  19. At the Pasadena World of Commodore show, Lou Eggebrecht (VP of
  20. Engineering at Commodore) gave a talk in which he described the plans
  21. for two new chip sets.  I reported on this in comp.sys.amiga.announce.

  23. introductory postings on the group for more details.

  32. The upcoming report mentions that DSP technology is in the works, but
  33. will be available no sooner than the middle of the year.  This would
  34. give sound on the level of a CD player.

  40. I'm not sure what you're asking.  If you want to read e-mail from
  41. home, you should get a modem, plug it into your Amiga, and dial up the
  42. University's computer.  You might be able to save some money on long
  43. distance calls by using a service called "PC Pursuit."  Go ask in
  44. comp.sys.amiga.datacomm, comp.dcom.modems, and comp.dcom.telecom for
  45. more information about all of this.

  47. A decent modem can be had for $70 (I'll sell you mine!), and the
  48. communications software is free (and even legal) if you know where to
  49. look.

  51. If you're ambitious, your Amiga can be set up as an e-mail site, using
  52. something called UUCP.  Go look in alt.sys.amiga.uucp for more
  53. information about that.

  55. Finally, you should restrict your posts to one topic.  If you have two
