- Yeap. 1A is probably for the newer hard drives.

- On a Quantum Pro 40 or 105, the spin up current (measured) is close to
- 1.4A and it drops down to 150mA on just spinning and 350-400mA on disk
- access. Some other makes and model might run a bit higher. A park on
- the 40 take the same amount of current as startup...
