- The GoldenGateII is indeed a Zorro II specific card. I'm not sure what you
- mean by "relative" performance here-- relative to what? Since the Amiga
- does not (YET!) have RTG, there is no way to display the workbench through
- a VGA card and compare to the native Amiga display. For now, most people are
- interested in displaying still pictures.

- There is no plan to make a Zorro III version of this, because there is no
- point. AT PC plug-in cards can only operate at 8 MHz and 16 bits. EISA
- cards have better performance, but are quite expensive and not so widely
- available. Better to buy an Amiga specific Zorro III card than an EISA,
- since I would suspect that the price is not that different. Now, Localbus
- might be better, but right now there is no Localbus standard.

-
- Possibly, but I am a student and I don't want to do this full time. I may
- try to sell the design to someone else to manufacture.

-
- I don't think the libraries would be difficult at all, once RTG is available.
- Several GoldenGateII owners say they are interested in writing a driver to
- display still images. I suspect one will be available soon.
