- The expansion bus? The A4000 (and A3000) expansion bus is design to be fully
- compatible with all properly designed Zorro II cards. We did find a few things
- in the A3000 that didn't quite meet this goal, those items have been addressed
- on the A4000.

- The point of Zorro bus expansion cards is that they conform to a standard that
- any new machine is expected to also conform to. It's a bit more expensive to
- put something on a proper Zorro card than on some local bus, but what you
- get in return is portability. We can change local buses any time we see fit,
- while the expansion bus stays as much the same as possible (improvements are
- allowed, but only when they don't impact compatibility).
