- IMHO it can be an electromagnetic problem rather than a digital one.

- I did the following experiment:

- Apparatus:
- A2000 OCS with flickerfixer, AOC (1950 lookalike) monitor,
- A3000, NEC MultiSync2 monitor.

- Method:
- Try all combinations of monitors and computers

- Results:
- A2000 + AOC = much vertical banding
- A2000 + NEC = zero vertical banding
- A3000 + AOC = some vertical banding
- A3000 + NEC = zero vertical banding

- Conclusions:
- I think its nothing to do with AGA, as both the banding and
- the shimmering happened on an A2000 and A3000.
- I think its to do with the monitor, or the monitor's
- interaction with the particular computer.
- The Commodore representative above appears to be
- correct.
