  10. I am trying to make an adapter so that I can use my Teknika monitor with
  11. my amiga 1000.  It didn't come with the cable, but I know that they make
  12. one (they talk about using it in the manual).  I have built my own cable
  13. with the following pinout:
  14. Name    Amiga           Monitor
  15. Red     3               3
  16. Green   4               4
  17. Blue    5               5
  18. Hsync   11              8
  19. Vsync   12              9
  20. Ground  16,17,18,19,20  1

  22. There seems to be a problem with it though.  When I boot up it works
  23. fine until it asks for a workbench disk.  Right before the graphic with
  24. the disk would come up the sync on the monitor dies.  If I unplug the
  25. cable from the monitor before booting it seems to work fine (and also if
  26. I use a b/w composite monitor on the comp out port).  ALso, I can plug
  27. the rgb monitor in again after the workbench starts loading and
  28. everything works again (although I can't unplug it and plug it back in
  29. when the sync goes out, the whole machine appears to lock at that
  30. point).

  32. I read that if the amiga sees a high current draw on the sync lines that
  33. it assumes that there is a genlock connected (or something like that). 
  34. Should I buffer my lines to sync?
