- This goes to all of you who own either the PP&S 040 or Zeus (28mhz).
- My question regarding the PP&S 040 is how are the hard drive transfer
- rates with your current hard drive setups (I'm assuming you have an HD)?
- Are access times faster, slower or do they remain the same? What I have
- is the series I SCSI controller by GVP along with a Q105S proDrive. Also,
- how is the compatibility with software? Do you get a lot of gurus or did
- everything work the first time around?
-
- I can get 60ns 4x8 SIMM modules for $133 each. Is this a good price? Is
- there a place that sells them cheaper than this? If so, where?
-
- I'm planning to get 16MB worth of RAM, but I might just bypass this and
- get the Zeus 040 board. A local dealer sells this board with 4MB installed.
- My question goes out to those who own the Zeus board. Can you mix RAM
- densities in the slots? (e.g. fill 8 slots with 1x8 SIMMS and fill the other
- 8 slots with 4x8 SIMMS). Also, I would like to know how compatible this board
- is. I'll be running Kickstart 2.04 on my system. I also have 8MB of 16-bit
- RAM via SupraRAM. Can this RAM be accessed by both boards?
-
- Thanks a bunch!
