- I just got a new A2286 AT Bridgeboard and installed it in my Rev. 4 German
- motherboard A2000. I have Workbench/Kickstart 2.04. I ran the Amiga
- Janus version 2.1 installer and put everything on SYS: except for a 30 MB
- virtual drive on Work: At the end of the installation it couldn't start up
- PCPrefs, "Could not open Janus.library". I added
-
- assign LIBS: SYS:Expansion add
-
- before BindDrivers, so now when I start up PCPrefs it ponders awhile before
- coming back with "Could not open..." (before it gave the message immediately).
-
- SysInfo 2.69 reports address $FF000000, 0K, ZORRO II, and XTBRIDGEBOARD or
- ATBRIDGEBOARD depending on which slot it is and how hard I bang it.
-
- I installed the 5.25" drive which came with no instructions. The cable is
- one of those ones with a twist in it.
-
- I also have a GVP Series II HC+8 card that works fine.
-
- A problem with the bridge connectors???
-
- I got an XT BB with my A2000 in 1987 and it worked great for about a year and
- then it blew and I had to replace it, and the replacement worked fine, but
- then it was a bit flaky after I hadn't used it for a year or so.
