- It is *not* an artifact of AGA. I bought my A4000 5 weeks ago (or so) and
- due to my monitor not being able to sync down to 15khz I plugged in my
- CBM flicker fixer (no 16million colours but a display in every mode except
- 800x600). With the flicker fixer in place I have an absoultely rock steady
- clean picture. I then plugged in the dongle that connects your monitor to the
- video port and what did I see, extremely noticeable vertical lines about 8
- pixels apart. Pretty damn annoying, so I went back to my flicker fixer. Later
- on I was wanting to use a B2000 and used the A4000 supplied dongle to connect
- to the back of the Amiga 2000 and guess what? Vertical lines every 8 pixels or
- so. Cponclusion, it is most definetly not AGA and it seems as though the
- supplied dongle is at fault. There is a chip inside it, is that at fault I ask
- myself?
-
- Has anyone tried to connect their monitor with out the converter dongle? If so
- are the lines still present. If so I'll get my self a new lead. Oh, I have had
- the computer and dongle replace 2 weeks ago due to a fault with the drive and
- mouse ports and the new computer exhibts the same vertical lines......
