- You should be okay mechanically, but... Backup the disk in its
- current position, then install it in the machine, reprep and reformat,
- then reinstall the data. (It helps to run it for an hour or two in
- its new position first, just sitting there turned on.) This should be
- done whenever moving a disk from a horizontal to a vertical position
- or vice-versa, otherwise you can get read errors once the bearings
- settle into their new position.
