- But it is not. A floptical writes and reads about twice as fast as
- a normal Amiga floppy drive which is _much_ slower than any modern
- hard disk. The access time only tells how long it takes for the
- drive to move the R/W head to the specified track and locate the
- data block. It says nothing about read/write speeds at all.

- After using a decent hard disk the flopticals feel as slow as floppies.
- When the floptical disks become badly fragmented they can be even slower
- due to the higher amount of data stored on them.
