- I've seen vertical lines before, it was on an early demo A600 that I
- borrowed from a dealer. The vertical lines only appeared when running
- 4 colour productivity mode. The A600 was hooked up to an early C1950
- monitor. The computer also had a noticable "shimmer" in the NTSC
- modes. For some reason, the shimmer completely vanished when a PAL
- screen was opened. Last week I had a chance to play around with a
- dealer's A4000 hooked up to a new model C1960 monitor. Some of the
- modes had the vertical lines in them, but of the 7 or 8 modes I tried,
- none of them shimmered like the A600. Lines or no, the display was
- great! It looks like the dark lines can appear on ECS machines as
- well as AGA machines.
