- I'm trying to help a friend get a removable media HD running on his
- A3000 (WB 2.04). The name of the drive on the faceplate is Rhaman
- (or something close to that) but he says its a SyQuest inside.
-
- I plugged it into the external SCSI port and powered it up with a
- cartridge inside, booted the 3000 and ran HDtoolbox. With HD
- toolbox I changed the drivetype to the values that it read from
- the drive (it reported that it was a SyQuest 42 MB drive, which
- is what I expected). Then I did a low-level format, and partitioned
- it as single partition.
-
- Upon leaving HDtoolbox, the icon for the drive appeared as SHD0:RRRR,
- and it refused to open. So, I got SCSI mounter from FF537 (or somewhere
- near there) and mounted it, at which point the icon became SHD0:BUSY.
-
- So, now I'm stuck. Can someone give me some insight into how to get
- this thing going? I'd appreciate it.
