-
- Would you have been happier if the A4000 had not been released until
- January or February 1993 with the SCSI-II built in, and had costed the same
- as the current A4000 + the SCSI-II card? Because that was the other
- option. I think Commodore did the right thing: got the A4000 out there,
- and promised a Zorro III SCSI-II card (which it seems will be out real
- soon). This had several advantages: The A4000 came out in September
- instead of early '93; people who don't really care about SCSI dont have to
- pay for it; and the Zorro III SCSI-II Card can be used on A3000's as well
- as A4000's.
-
- They should continue on the track they are on. I would like to see an
- A4000T with the SCSI-II on the motherboard, and some models priced between
- the A1200 and A4000 (A $1500 model, and a $2000 model would be great). I'm
- actualy pretty confident that they'll just that.
-
- The anouncement of a DSP add on is iceing on the cake, as well as the
- promise of not only one, but two new chipsets on the way!

-
- So are you complaining about the A4000 in this respect? I think the A4000
- is fine. Its got a 5.25" drive bay for CD-ROM, a 3.5" bay for the floppy,
- and space behind it for the harddrive (could probably fit two HD's in
- there, since they can be thinner than that hacked up floppy drive..).
- Thats all most people are going to need.

- Yeah, I think that is a might anoying. Oh well. I never use floppy disks
- anyway.

-
- They haven't redesigned the Paula chip yet. They instead decided to focus
- on improveing the graphics (Alice and Lisa, AKA Agnus and Denise). The
- dual speed drive was a good idea, since it could (can) be used on any
- Amiga.
