- My 1084 monitor has recently started giving me problems (it's a bit more
- than 3 years old). In the middle of the screen I get black spaces between
- the pixel rows, basically is stretches the 13th row of characters (on a 25
- row display) to about twice it's normal height. The portion of the
- screen below that is slightly compressed, and the portion above seems
- pretty much normal. The problem isn't always there, sometimes I'll turn
- on the monitor and it will be clear for 15 minutes, but eventually the
- black lines pop up again.
- Has anyone had any experience with this problem?
- Does anyone have any suggestions about the cheapest way to get it
- fixed (ie. might it be simple enough to fix myself, or is that too
- stupid to even dream of)?
- The fact that it comes and goes makes me suspect it isn't all that
- serious... something loose maybe. Ideas, anyone?
