  13. My 1084 monitor has recently started giving me problems (it's a bit more
  14. than 3 years old).  In the middle of the screen I get black spaces between
  15. the pixel rows, basically is stretches the 13th row of characters (on a 25
  16. row display) to about twice it's normal height.  The portion of the 
  17. screen below that is slightly compressed, and the portion above seems
  18. pretty much normal.  The problem isn't always there, sometimes I'll turn
  19. on the monitor and it will be clear for 15 minutes, but eventually the
  20. black lines pop up again.  
  21. Has anyone had any experience with this problem?
  22. Does anyone have any suggestions about the cheapest way to get it
  23. fixed (ie. might it be simple enough to fix myself, or is that too
  24. stupid to even dream of)?
  25. The fact that it comes and goes makes me suspect it isn't all that
  26. serious... something loose maybe.  Ideas, anyone?
