  13. Hey netters.  Most specifically hard disk gurus.
  14.  
  15. I'm tired of my 40M and I'm getting a bigger disk for Xmas.  I want some input
  16. from the vast knowlege thats out there in netland.  I have a 2000 with a 
  17. GVP board that has the IDE interface and I have a NEXUS that is a SCSI
  18. controller so I can go either way.  IDE makes sense so when I hit the ohio 
  19. lottery I can get a 1.2 gig drive for my amiga and put the IDE in my AT (yes
  20. I have one.  Great for checking - quicken).  Anyway I'm looking to get a 200M
  21. drive and am debating on the following choices.

  23. Maxtor 7213A (IDE)
  24. Conner Cpp30204F  (IDE)
  25. Western Digital  WDAC2200 (IDE)
  26. Western Digital  CAV2200  (IDE)
  27.  
  28. The SCSI are generally running $100 dollars more than the IDEs and these are
  29. generally the cheaper faster drives.  The western digital are generally the
  30. cheapest.
  31.  
  32. 1.  Anyone have any experience with any of these drives or any other comparable
  33.     drives.

  35. 2.  Any experience with these brands.

  37. I expect that there are many others out there that would also like this 
  38. information so I will post a summary of all replies.  If you have info that
  39. you're dying to share do so, if not save bandwidth and email me and I'll post.
