- I have a rather important question here that's been nagging me for
- awhile. First, it seems that AmigaDOS 3.0 is only for the new
- machines (1200/4000), while 2.1 is for the old ones, correct? So
- will we ever get 3.0 for the 2000/3000 ? I know they say the only
- difference is support for AGA chips, which the oldies don't have,
- but it actually seems to me that there's a lot more than just
- that in 3.0. Now, my REAL question is, if there are no plans to
- put 3.0 on the old machines, what happens when 4.0 comes out???
- I'd love to hang on to my A3000, and when 4.0 comes out, assuming
- it has RTG, to buy a 24bit graphics board, similar to those cheapo
- clone boards (what, like $150 for hires 24bit?), and use that on
- my A3000 under RTG. BUT:
-
- *** Will 4.0 and/or RTG be released for the older machines?? ***
