- As I mentioned to you in e-mail in the past, Jack, this problem is one that
- has been seen by countless people. It is not just a problem with the
- modem; I use a Maestro Super Executive and have the same problem with the
- autodialler, to the point where like the original poster I can only
- reliably connect if I manually type in "atdt number". Others have
- suggested turning off the clock and setting the serial rate to various
- speeds; none of these have made a difference, not surprisingly with the
- latter.

- I really hope you get this sorted out. I know a lot of people that have
- stopped using the program because of this reason. I don't know how many of
- them are registered users, but I am one.
-
- By the way, I recently downloaded from a local BBS what looks like a beta
- version of your new program whose name I won't mention because it's so
- nifty and because you have kept it quiet. Is this supposed to be released
- or has somebody broken the rules?
